Growing up, Carlos’s parents ingrained in him “if you want something, you go out and get it,” and he has been living that mindset since. He takes pride in the fact that he put himself through college in his early thirties while simultaneously working full time. As a working father of three, he understands the importance of instilling the same hard-working mindset to his children as well as making sure they are giving back to society in a meaningful way.
As an avid surfer, Carlos finds his calling in the ocean. Aligning his determination to live an outdoor lifestyle and provide meaningful contributions to the community is a priority for Carlos. In order to live a long and happy life, Carlos knows that he needs to maintain a balanced diet, engage in a challenging fitness routine, and surround himself with a positive community.
Carlos loves to travel with his family, learn new cultures, meet new people, and try new foods.

Growing up in a big family and with relatives living in the same neighborhood, chaos was constant. Always looking to find humor amongst the madness, Ilene knew she needed to keep a light perspective and mentality as she went through life’s many ups and downs. She found her sense of humor during those critical years and knew making people laugh was a gift she needed to share.
With Ilene’s personal motto being “What are you doing now, to get to where you want to be?” she believes if you want to be healthy, you need to eat right, exercise, and LAUGH often!
As a New Yorker at heart, she has made sunny San Diego her home for the past 27 years. She loves exploring and hiking the local trails around Southern California, spending time with her family, and practicing her stand up comedy to anyone who will listen.
